Airports
Babcock plays a critical role at Schiphol Airport, working around the clock to ensure baggage handling operations function efficiently 24/7.
Babcock maintains the baggage handling system at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, the third busiest European airport in terms of passenger volume (experiencing 73 million passengers in 2019) and the busiest in Europe in terms of aircraft movements.
Schiphol’s baggage systems operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the systems sorting, routing and monitoring around 120,000 pieces of baggage every day and in peak times around 190,000.
Our proven capability of delivering continuous system maintenance and improvement keeps the baggage handling running at Schiphol Airport, so our customer can focus on providing the best passenger experience.
