Join our team of subject matter experts
Our subject matter experts (SMEs) are at the heart of our vital work supporting the design, planning and execution of military computer assisted exercises across current and future collective training contracts.
Due to recent contract awards by NATO to deliver support to its Joint Warfare Centre and provide expert advice on wargaming activities, we’re expanding our pool of SMEs from the UK and NATO member states.
Join us in working side-by-side with the NATO training centres and contribute to Alliance readiness, helping us to create a safe and secure world, together.
Our SMEs come from a range of backgrounds
Our Military SMEs are drawn from across all services and domains (land, maritime, air, space, cyber and information) and staff branches.
These branch areas include:
Command: 2/ 3/4* level
J2: intelligence analysis, JISR, Targeting
J3: multi-domain operations, targeting, CBRN, information warfare/psychological operations
Political/legal advisor
J4 (integrated logistic support).
J5 (strategic/operational planning)
J6 (CIS planning)
J9 (CIMIC, NGO/IGO)
OPFOR (air, land, naval, space, SOF, hybrid)
Gender advisor
Defence attaché
We also seek SMEs with recent experience in the following areas:
Resilience
Intelligence services
Wargaming
Government Interior Ministry
Government Foreign Ministry

Academia: geopolitics, contemporary war studies, human sciences

NATO Joint Warfare Centre, Stavanger, Norway
NATO Joint Forces Training Centre, Bydgoszcz, Poland
Other NATO or NATO assigned headquarters and training centres located in NATO member states
UK Ministry of Defence sites in UK and abroad

We need your expertise
Ideally, you’ll have experience in the last five years of working in NATO, or a NATO assigned headquarters, either as a senior officer (OF4 – OF7) or in an operations facing staff role (OF3 – OF5). You may also have recently been in a role supporting exercise design, scripting, execution or mentoring at a principal NATO training centre.
You’ll hold a valid NATO SECRET security clearance (required by all SMEs) or be a UK National holding a UK SECRET clearance level and be prepared to apply for NATO SECRET level (which we can support with).
You’ll also need to operate as a limited company or will be prepared to establish a limited company, in order to undertake the work.
