Babcock is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Air and Space Institute (ASI).

As part of our commitment to skills development and recruitment, this collaboration will boost the educational journey of ASI students by providing practical experience and insight into working in the aviation industry within Babcock.

The partnership was launched during an educational visit by ASI students to RAF Wittering, where they had the opportunity to meet with Babcock’s air traffic control team and aviation maintenance technicians to learn more about the industry.

Chloe Barker, Managing Director of Babcock’s UK aviation business, said: “Collaboration between industry and education is so important in supporting young people entering the workplace. Our partnership with the ASI will enable us to create a path for students to explore a practical, hands-on career in aviation, while continuing their education and building on an exciting career path.”

Tom Marsden, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at the Lincoln College Group, added: “It is fantastic to welcome such a significant defence company to the ASI family. Babcock will help support our students through their studies and offer potential routes for employment or apprenticeship training as the partnership develops.”

In addition to Babcock Skills Academy, this partnership with ASI aims to improve the learning experience for students, providing them with access to cutting-edge industry knowledge and opportunities.
