Between 19 -21 July, hundreds of aircraft took to the skies over Gloucestershire’s RAF Fairford as part of this year’s Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT).

A highlight in the aviation calendar, the word-renowned event featured 248 aircraft from 29 nations, wowing spectators with exciting flying displays and static aircraft exhibits.

Thrilled to return to the event, we enjoyed a busy chalet over the three days as we welcomed customers and industry partners.

On the opening day of the event, we were delighted to announce our partnership with Uplift360 to recycle and repurpose defence equipment – an exciting step forward in exploring how we can sustainably manage end-of-life assets.

For the first time, we were thrilled to be part of the RAF Experience, an area where visitors can immerse themselves in everything RAF – from recruitment and training to combat and logistics. At our stand, young aviation enthusiasts had the chance to sit in an ejector chair and test their paper aeroplane making skills. With our General Logistics Vehicle on display and some excellent STEM activities on offer to demonstrate our exciting early careers opportunities, our graduates and apprentices were on hand to inspire the young attendees.

We also celebrated the 50th birthday of the Hawk at the event, and 60 years of the iconic Red Arrows, who took to the skies on all three days. We’re proud to support the Royal Air Force’s fleet of 28 Hawk T2 jets, providing both forward and depth maintenance to the display team.

Thank you to all involved in this year’s event for making it another resounding success.
