Experience

Sir Nick joined Babcock International in June 2022 after a long career in the Royal Navy, most recently as the Second Sea Lord responsible for the day to day running of the Navy. Prior to becoming Chief Executive, Marine, he led Babcock’s work to support AUKUS delivery with UK, Australia and US partners and to increase export opportunities across the Group. His experience in the Royal Navy spans submarines, surface vessels, staff appointments and operational posts. Operationally he commanded the T23 frigate HMS Westminster, the nuclear submarine HMS Talent and patrol vessel HMS Blackwater. He has served in Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Iraq as well as all over the world in ships and submarines.
