Emergency Services
From full turnkey projects, to the management and maintenance of specialist training facilities, Babcock is committed to developing and delivering training solutions which meet the specific and safety-centric needs of our Emergency Services customers.
Our understanding of the Emergency Services operational environment, particularly around fire and rescue, means that we can deliver a suitably qualified, competent and safe workforce into your service.
The bespoke training facilities that we develop, operate and manage hand-in-hand with our Emergency Services customers are specially designed to ensure the delivery of training is challenging but doesn’t compromise on safety. We have invested over £30million in world class training centres, including carbonaceous dedicated training facilities for our long-term customer London Fire Brigade. The basement and three-storey fire houses use innovative technology to provide highly realistic real fire training experiences using a state-of-the-art smoke cleansing systems. They are also both low emission, essential as their locations within the M25 makes them subject to the London Clean Air Act regulations.
In addition to being used by our Emergency Services customers in Avon, Devon and Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Wales and London, our facilities are available for multi-agency training and exercises as well as for commercial use.
Our highly experienced team of designers and trainers uses a blended learning approach to deliver over 163,000 hours of training to the Emergency Services and manage a portfolio of over 275 courses for London Fire Brigade.
At Babcock we strive to bring the latest innovations to our Emergency Services training, an example being our state-of-the-art blue light driver simulator. This combines leading-edge technology with learning services expertise and RoSPA certified trainers to deliver a training solution that is efficient, effective and above all safe.
Babcock is also dedicated to delivering a tri-service approach, recognising the synergies between Emergency Services and the benefits that shared best practice approaches can deliver.
