Maintaining & supporting passenger boarding bridges

We recognise that passenger boarding bridges both enhance passenger comfort, as well as playing a strategic security element in moving them from the terminal boarding gate to their seat on the airplane within a controlled area. With technical expertise in passenger boarding bridge operation and maintenance (preventative and corrective), we help our customers to ensure full availability, security and functionality. 

IT systems management

We work in partnership with the customer and combine the use of in-house engineering & IT expertise to improve operations that seamlessly work across multiple systems, incorporating critical information such as flight display boards, CCTV security cameras and e-gates.

Delivering fully integrated IT solutions, we combine our expertise in engineering processes with complex IT systems to improve operator processes and ensure an optimum passenger experience. Our capabilities in developing and installing Airport data performance systems mean that both airport and user databases can be combined to a single output with the ability to deliver overviews of information across multiple systems, thus reducing waste and costs.

Babcock currently operate extensive IT systems at Europe’s 4th largest airport, Schiphol Airport, where the team supports various ICT systems, including 2,500 flight display screens, 2,000 cameras and 80 electronic staff access gates.
