Key to this is ensuring modern on-site workshops with experienced multi-skilled technicians and streamlined processes. We constantly monitor workshop performance to improve repair turnaround times and identify bottlenecks and spare capacity. Our dedicated Airport call centre with resilient support technology also enables the right set up for rapid response times to key airport operators.

A system of web-based reporting delivers the granular information provides a day-by-day extract of what is happening in the world of the customer’s assets, offering total visibility of performance, cost of ownership, and availability that helps managers make whole life decisions. We see telematics as an essential tool, both in monitoring asset performance and issues as well as helping to identify the optimal number of vehicles required within an operation.

Babcock delivers a sector unique approach to asset management, providing a proven engineering-led customised solution to managing complex fleets. ALCAMiE™, comprising a customised toolbox of systems, processes, telematics and skills sets, delivers a range of outputs that enable transformation in how customers’ assets are managed.

This approach is based over the whole life of an asset from procurement through to disposal. Encompassing web-based fleet reporting, core asset management, dedicated managed service centres and the customer accounting function, customers can benefit from increased availability, savings of around 10-15%, reduced costs and processing, and transference of risk.
