Warship Asset Management Alliance
Delivering complete asset management solutions
Babcock strives to safely deliver world-class warships on time, every time, to the Royal Australian Navy, helping to keep Australia secure.
Our through-life support, whether delivering a complex maintenance period, a system survey or a technical modification, is underpinned by deep experience in providing marine services to navies across the globe.
In Australia, Babcock enables the continued sustainment of the Royal Australian Navy’s Anzac Class Frigates through the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA). WAMA represents a strategic partnership between Babcock, BAE Systems, SAAB, and the Commonwealth of Australia for the total asset management of the Anzac Class Frigates. Together, the Alliance delivers materially seaworthy warships, driving long term efficiencies for the Australian Navy.
As part of the Alliance, we provide a range of services in support of the Anzac class, including:
- Engineering support services
- Asset management services
- Maintenance support services
- Ship repair, refit, and refurbishment
- Supply chain management
- Procurement and logistics
Working with the Australian Navy since 2010
In Australia we have provided long-term sustainment of the Royal Australian Navy’s ANZAC frigates since 2010. We have now grown the partnership to support Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) ships and Landing Craft.
Our delivery model is designed to focus expertise and people where gaps exist, whilst supporting and developing in-country industry wherever possible; a significant amount of supply chain activity is now delivered through Australian small and medium businesses.
