Babcock partners with the British High Commission to support the ‘55 Parallels’ Campaign

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, is one of the world's premier aerobatic display teams. Representing the speed, agility and precision of the RAF, the team is the public face of the service. They assist in recruiting to the Armed Forces, act as ambassadors for the United Kingdom and promote the best of British. Flying distinctive Hawk jets, the team is made up of pilots, engineers and essential support staff with frontline, operational experience.

Babcock is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the British High Commission to support the 55 Parallels Campaign. This year long campaign celebrates the many ties that bind the United Kingdom and Canada together.

Why 55?

The 55th parallel binds our two nations together across the Atlantic Ocean, passing through a diversity of Canadian and British lands, characteristic of the breadth of our relationship.

Each week, the campaign highlights a story of how Canadians and Britons work together to make us all safer, more secure, more prosperous, and more conscious about the world around us.

One of the signature events of this campaign is an extended visit by the Red Arrows, the RAF’s aerobatic display team, celebrating 55 years of aerial displays with a Canadian cross-country tour.

“As an international organization, with strong roots and operations in both Canada and the United Kingdom, the 55 Parallels Campaign helps to highlight many of the ways our trans-Atlantic teams are working together to deliver for our Canadian and UK customers.”

Jake Jacobson, VP of Communications & Government Relations at Babcock Canada

“I am delighted that Babcock is partnering with the British High Commission on 55 Parallels. Babcock is a superb example of an organisation which bridges our two countries, and peoples, in the work it does. We are excited to be working together to highlight those links.”

Susan Jane le Jeune d’Allegeershecque, British High Commissioner to Canada.
